Job Purpose:

The Trainer – Event Management will be responsible for delivering high-quality, practical training sessions to trainees under (ZYX)program. The incumbent will design, develop, and implement effective lesson plans, training materials, and assessment tools in alignment with national competency standards. The role also includes continuous monitoring of trainee progress and maintaining all relevant training records.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop and deliver interactive training sessions on Event Management in accordance with the approved curriculum and donor guidelines.

Prepare detailed session plans, presentations, and practical activities for each topic/module.

Enhance and update training materials to ensure relevance to industry trends and trainee needs.

Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to support trainee learning and development.

Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, performance, and training activities.

Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters professional growth.

Coordinate and supervise practical training exercises and field visits where applicable.

Support career counselling and employability readiness sessions for trainees.

Collaborate with program staff to ensure training quality and compliance with project goals.

Submit timely reports and documentation as required by management or funding partners.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Certification in Event Planning or a related discipline will be preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience in Event Management and at least 1 year of experience in training or capacity building.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, presentation tools, and record-keeping.
