Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive immunization project. The role includes ensuring quality execution of outreach, mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven program delivery aligned with donor guidelines and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Planning and Implementation
- Lead mapping of zero-dose, defaulter, and refusal clusters (ZD, Def, Ref) using available data and community inputs.
- Oversee formation and facilitation of mothers’ and fathers’ support groups to promote community-based identification of outreach sites and immunization needs.
- Coordinate the development and dissemination of culturally sensitive IEC materials in identified hotspot areas.
- Ensure effective outreach to traditional and religious leaders, organizing regular engagement events to reduce immunization-related misconceptions.
- Supervise and support training activities for LHWs, vaccinators, and frontline workers on culturally sensitive SBC strategies.
2. Community and School Engagement
- Facilitate school and community-based awareness sessions for HPV vaccination targeting adolescent girls (9–14) and caregivers.
- Oversee awareness sessions on 24/7 birth dose services to ensure community access and facility readiness.
- Support implementation of evening immunization activities to cater to working families.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with provincial and district EPI, District Health Offices and DG Health Services’ Health Education Cell and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in provincial and national communication task forces and working groups.
- Support District teams in forming and strengthening District Health Committees inclusive of tribal and religious representation.
4. Monitoring, Supervision, and Learning
- Conduct regular supportive supervision visits with district coordinators using real-time digital tools (e.g., ODK).
- Ensure continuous monitoring and midline/final evaluations with Learning and MEL frameworks in coordination with district authorities.
- Collect and analyze field data to inform project adaptation and documentation of lessons learned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years plus of experience in project management preferably in public health, immunization related programming.
- Strong understanding of routine immunization, zero-dose strategies, and community engagement methodologies.
- Experience in coordinating with government health and other concerned departments and working with culturally diverse communities.
- Knowledge and preferably using digital tools (ODK, Kobo Toolbox) and managing field data.
- Fluency in English, Urdu, and local languages spoken in Balochistan is preferred.
