Position Summary:
The Field Tehsil Supervisor will oversee the effective implementation of immunization outreach, community mobilization, and monitoring activities within the assigned tehsil. S/he will coordinate field teams, support community engagement efforts, ensure accurate data collection, supervise mobile sessions, and collaborate with health stakeholders to increase vaccination coverage, especially for zero-dose, under-immunized children and eligible women.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Field Supervision and Community Mapping
- Oversee and support outreach teams in conducting door-to-door visits and mapping zero-dose children and defaulters.
- Supervise the collection and validation of community baseline data and microplans.
- Ensure proper tracking of immunization defaulters using digital/mobile tools.
2. Community Engagement & Support Groups
- Facilitate formation and regular meetings of Mothers’ and Fathers’ Support Groups (20 each per tehsil).
- Support IEC material distribution and ensure use of culturally relevant messages.
- Lead engagement with local influencers, religious leaders, and traditional figures to promote vaccine acceptance.
3. Capacity Building and Coordination
- Organize and follow-up on capacity building of LHWs, vaccinators, and mobilizers on RI, IPC, vaccine hesitancy, and microplanning.
- Support implementation of training sessions and ensure field staff apply learned competencies.
4. IEC and Advocacy Activities
- Coordinate community theater performances to dispel vaccine-related myths.
- Facilitate HPV awareness sessions in schools and with caregivers of girls aged 9-14.
- Organize advocacy events involving local government, religious leaders, and media representatives.
5. Health Facility Support & Quality Improvement
- Assist in the formation and facilitation of Health Facility Support Groups and QI Teams in priority UCs.
- Contribute to the development and follow-up of Facility Improvement Plans in collaboration with DHMTs and health staff.
6. Immunization Sessions and Mobile Health
- Support planning and execution of outreach and mobile ISD immunization sessions in hard-to-reach areas.
- Ensure integration of MNCH and nutrition services in mobile health sessions.
- Monitor service delivery quality and community feedback.
7. Monitoring, Reporting & Data Use
- Conduct routine supervisory visits and provide on-the-spot mentoring to field teams.
- Ensure timely and quality reporting of field data and progress updates.
- Participate in DICC meetings and coordinate sharing of meeting outcomes with Provincial EPI.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in community health, immunization programs, or development projects.
- Experience in field supervision, community mobilization, and stakeholder coordination.
- Familiarity with immunization schedules, RI monitoring tools, and microplanning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Fluency in local language(s) and Urdu; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within tehsil and remote communities.
