Qualification required:
Master for Men/ Minimum Bachelor’s degree for Women in Social Sciences, Community Development, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Proven experience of Minimum 3 years in community engagement, stakeholder coordination, and capacity building. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings. Knowledge of sustainable development practices, particularly in the areas of micro- hydropower, land resource management, and water management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct community meetings and workshops to inform and involve local populations in project activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and other stakeholders.
• Address community concerns and feedback, ensuring they are integrated into project planning and implementation.
• Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues.
• Develop and implement training programs for community members on topics such as sustainable land management, water conservation, and micro-hydropower maintenance.
• Support local communities in developing skills and knowledge to manage and maintain project infrastructure.
• Assist the DPM in the planning and execution of project activities related to micro-hydropower, private sector development, land resource management, and irrigation.
• Mediate conflicts that may arise between community members or between the community and project stakeholders. Develop strategies to address and mitigate potential social risks associated with project activities.
• Maintain accurate records of community interactions, meetings, and training sessions.

Experience working on projects related to renewable energy, private sector development, or natural resource management. Familiarity with local languages and cultural practices. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
