Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Position Summary: Aga Khan Health Services, Pakistan (AKHS,P) is seeking competent and dedicated Data Collector to support field-based data collection activities. The Data Collector will be responsible for gathering accurate and reliable information from health facilities and communities using both digital and paper-based tools. They will ensure adherence to data collection protocols, ethical standards, and project timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Attend training sessions to acquaint with data collection protocol and tools
  • Follow the ethical principles of surveys for data collection
  • Ensure complete data collection and entries in digital format, ensuring no missing information
  • Meet the deadline to successfully complete the assessment in defined timeline
  • Able to collect data on paper forms as well as digital tools
  • Maintain log sheets to keep track of field activities
  • Address missing data (if any) by contacting participants/health facilities as per protocol
  • Communicate regularly with the supervisor about data collection process
  • Provide feedback and report any challenges to the assessment team
  • Submit data reports on a timely basis to project team as required

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate with some relevant research experience of data collection (any nursing, midwifery or related knowledge will be preferred).
  • At least one year of relevant experience in healthcare/research will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital gadgets – tablets, mobile phones, laptops
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, REDCap, Kobo and other relevant tools and applications
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
  • Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and demonstratable professional integrity
  • Aptitude to give oral instructions / information to respondents while carrying out interviews.
  • The ideal candidates should possess strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in field settings under supervision.
