Position Objectives:

  • The primary objective of the Nurse position is to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care and support within Basic Health Unit settings. This role aims to promote patient health and well-being through direct patient care, education, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. By ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care, the Nurse contributes significantly to positive patient outcomes and the overall efficiency of the healthcare team.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

  • Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of PRCS & work in align with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Principles.

2

Adheres to the Security rules and procedures define in PRCS code of conduct.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.

4

Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by Medical Officer and in accordance with nursing standards.

5

Monitor patient conditions, identify changes, and take appropriate actions to address any issues.

6

Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.

Encourage and facilitate patient participation in their own care to promote independence and self-management.

Keep detailed and accurate records of patient care, including nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations.

10

Adhere to infection-prevention control protocols.

Monitor and co-ordinate maintenance of equipment operation and inventory check and maintain nursing supplies inventory.

Provide data and reports to the concerned line manager and PHQ when required. Ensure compliance with instructions and orders.

Conduct prenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women, monitor pregnancies, and provide safe delivery assistance.

14

Monitor and promote infant and young child health, administering immunizations, growth tracking, and nutrition counseling.

15

Providing MNCH services.

 

Education

 

04 years BS Nursing Degree from the government affiliated institute. Additional Diploma in Midwifery / Lady Health Visiting (LHV) from a recognized institution will be an asset.



Experience

 

  Minimum of 02 years working experience as a Nurse in reputable hospital or in a government project.

 

Skills / Knowledge

 
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Flexibility to travel to perform Mobil health camps in the field.

  • Excellent writing and reporting skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure, in challenging field environments, and with diverse teams.

  • High integrity, accountability, and commitment to humanitarian principles.

  • Language: Fluency in Urdu, Pashto, and English (spoken and written).

Maximum age limit, up to 40 years.

 

Extensive travelling/travel to field locations with MHT as required
