To All Respective Bidders,

This Addendum is issued pursuant to the Tender Documents referenced above. The purpose of this Addendum is to formally notify all bidders of a modification to the tender process and to outline the subsequent required actions.

1. Background and Rationale:
Due to the ongoing national rain/flood emergency, the management and technical team of AMWT are fully engaged in critical relief activities. To ensure the timely and impartial technical evaluation of bids for this important project, the management has decided to engage the services of an independent, third-party consulting firm to conduct the technical evaluation of all submitted bids, including a site assessment.

2. Change in Process Timeline and Bid Validity:
In light of the national rain/flood emergency and to expedite the award process, the financial bids will now be opened concurrently with the technical evaluation. This decision supersedes the original condition of opening financial bids only for technically qualified firms.

To comply with procurement regulations and safeguard the integrity of the process, AMWT requires an affirmation from all bidders regarding the continued validity of their offered rates until the evaluation process is formally concluded.

3. Required Undertaking from Bidders:
All bidders are hereby required to submit a formal Undertaking on their company's official letterhead, duly signed and stamped by an authorized signatory.

The Undertaking must clearly state and confirm the following:
a) That their offered commercial rates and prices shall remain valid and binding for a period of at least e.g., 90 days from the original bid submission deadline of July 31,2025
b) That, if awarded the contract, the bidder affirms they will promptly resubmit the full amount of their original Bid Security in the form of a Performance Guarantee, as stipulated in the tender documents, upon receiving the official Letter of Award.

A suggested format for the undertaking is provided in Annexure A for your convenience.

4. Release of Bid Security:
In order to facilitate the bidders during this extended period, AMWT has taken a benevolent decision to release the original Bid Security drafts to all bidders at this stage.

Bidders may collect their original Bid Security draft from the designated office upon the submission of the required Undertaking.
