CBM is an international development organization committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in the poorest communities of the world. CBM has been working in Pakistan for several decades, supporting inclusive development, eye health, community-based inclusive development (CBID), and humanitarian assistance.

Through strategic partnerships and rights-based programming, CBM Pakistan supports national systems, civil society, and community resilience to reduce inequalities and ensure the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

To showcase the achievements of 2024, CBM Pakistan is commissioning a professional consultant to develop its Annual Report.

2.0 Objective of the Assignment

CBM Pakistan seeks to engage a qualified and experienced consultant to draft, edit, and finalize the 2024 Annual Report. The report should effectively capture the year’s highlights, impact stories, and programmatic achievements, while aligning with CBM’s global brand and communication standards.

3.0 Scope of Work

The consultant will be responsible for:

• Developing and presenting an inception report outlining the methodology, work plan, and timelines.

• Reviewing relevant CBM documents, including project reports, case studies, and partner inputs.

• Proposing a central theme or narrative arc to guide the report’s structure and visual identity.

• Writing engaging, non-technical content that highlights programmatic outcomes, success stories, and key statistics.

• Integrating photos, infographics, and impact visuals to enhance the storytelling approach.

• Ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with CBM’s branding and accessibility standards.

• Incorporating CBM team feedback to finalize the report for publication.

• Recommending layout, length, and visual structure of the final product.

4.0 Deliverables

The following deliverables are expected:

1. Inception Report – detailing approach, timeline, and content structure.

2. Production Grid – outlining key milestones and deadlines.

3. Draft Annual Report – structured according to agreed sections and themes.

4. Final Report – incorporating CBM feedback, ready for publication (editable and print-ready versions).

5. Executive Summary – a short, standalone summary for donor or public use.

5.0 Duration and Timeline

The assignment is expected to be completed within one month of contract signing.

6.0 Consultant Profile and Qualifications

The ideal consultant should possess:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in journalism, communications, or international development.

• Proven experience writing annual reports for INGOs or development agencies.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

• Strong understanding of disability inclusion, community development, health, and/or humanitarian sectors.

• Ability to synthesize complex information into engaging content.

• Fluency in English and Urdu is required; proficiency in local languages, will be an added advantage.
