Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuous support to collect and verify orphan applications in order to support the orphan care program.
- Continuous collection of relevant documents like photograph, birth certificate, health certificate, school certificate for the orphans’ supposed to be sponsored under the Program.
- Continuous home visits to oversee the welfare issue of Sponsored Orphan.
- Continuous School visits as per need to maintain liaison and obtain update with the school teacher to enhance educational continuity of identified the sponsored Orphans.
- To aware orphans’ mothers / guardian regarding the progress and different Children Right issue.
- To be responsible for collection and sharing of relevant orphans’ application forms, annual reports, photos and other required documents.
- To be responsible for the collection of data required for periodic Orphan’s progress reports.
- To support the orphan family in opening orphans bank accounts.
- To support the program in orphans payments by preparing area wise orphans payment list and submission to finance department for the timely payment disbursement as required.
- To liaise with relevant organizations / authorities to establish and improve the services for sponsored orphans.
- To organize Information Education and (IEC) Communication session amongst the Community pertaining to Widows and Orphan welfare issues.
- To organize different cultural events for sponsored orphans within the approved budget limit in order to improve their sound mental and psychological well-being.
- Exploring ideas and concepts continuously for the welfare of the orphan’s and their families for potential funding sources in conjunction with Orphan Program.
- Prepare and submit monthly/Quarterly activity reports to the Program Manager.
- To be responsible for the gifts distribution and reporting of gifts received for orphans.
- To assist the program in preparation, implementation and reporting of child welfare projects and seasonal projects such as Qurbani, Ramadan Food, In kind donations, school bag distribution and others.
- Any other tasks requested by Head Office relevant to Orphan Program.
Required Skills and Experience:
Masters/M.Phil. in psychology/ Social Sciences or in a relevant discipline.
A minimum of 2-3 years of direct working experience with orphans in a donor-funded environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling reports.
Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to engage community members and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of orphan cluster approach.
Proficiency in using databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
