Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a system to track and monitor displacement and population mobility, and it is designed to regularly and systematically capture, process, and disseminate information, providing a better understanding of the movements and evolving needs of displaced populations, whether on site or en route. In recent years, DTM has become increasingly recognized as the primary source of displacement and migration data and information source at the country, regional, and global levels. As a result of it worldwide presence, flexibility, and interoperability, the DTM is now being implemented in Pakistan.

One of the core functions of DTM is data collection targeting various types of mobile populations and community living with them through variety methods such as face-to-face and/or telephonic interviews.  In continuing its efforts on conducting data collection in several several identified locations with various types and a high number of migration and mobility, DTM will need numerous number of enumerators.

Under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant and overall supervision of the Project Assistant (provincial Coordination), the enumerators will be responsible for organizing the data collection process (such as KIs or a schedule for interviews) and conducting the data collection process itself. Besides, enumerators will also be responsible for deliverables of following duties:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Prepare and/or organize the data collection process with an identified key informant or group of informants.
  • Carry out quantitative and qualitative data collection to identify key informants or a group of key informants, and respect data collection deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the data before it being submitted and ensure the data is being submitted on time.
  • Provide an update on the data collection process and feedback on the challenges in the data collection process, including data recording and submission.
  • Complete the targeted number of interviews per day assigned by DTM
  • Responsible for the integrity and protection of data by following IOM’s Data Protection manual. 
  • Participate in briefings, orientation sessions, and training as required.
  • Represent the program professionally and correctly for the assignments.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor   

Education

A minimum secondary school diploma from an accredited educational institution. Completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution is an advantage.

Experience 

  • Undergraduate degree or fresh graduate are welcome to apply.
  • Having experience in face-to-face or phone interviews for data collection is an advantage.

Languages

Several language skills are required:

  • Fluency in Urdu is a must
  • Fluency in other languages spoken by Pakistanis (e.g. Balochi, Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi) is an advantage
  • Being able to communicate in English is another advantage.
