FAID will implement the project titled "Sustainable Solutions for Food Security and Hunger Crisis Mitigation (SSHCM)" in Shikarpur District, Sindh, Pakistan from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, supported through HelpAge Deutschland and funded by ADH Germany. The project aims to address severe food insecurity affecting vulnerable populations—particularly older people, women, and persons with disabilities—through an inclusive, multi-sectoral approach. Key objectives include improving food security, promoting climate-resilient agriculture, empowering women through home-based enterprises, enhancing community nutrition knowledge, and advocating for the inclusion of older people in food and disaster planning.
