U.S. Mission Pakistan is seeking applications from qualified individuals for Travel Assistant position in U.S. Consulate General, Lahore.

Basic Function of the Position The Travel Assistant is the main point of contact for all logistical aspects of travel for VIPs, U.S. direct hires, and TDY to U.S. Consulate General Lahore. Job holder advises Mission staff regarding official travel, USG travel regulations, airlines, hotels and host government rules and practices. Travel Assistant must be able to plan and execute all logistical support for travel. The Travel Assistant also expedites official travelers through airport formalities, procures visas and permits, and performs related customs and shipping and travel services. The Travel Assistant will report to the Shipping and Customs Supervisor and will work closely with the General Services Officer.

Qualification Requirements:

Experience: Minimum three (03) years of experience in management, logistics, business administration, travel or related field is required.

Education: Completion of higher secondary school (12 years of education) is required.

Job Knowledge: Must be able to have knowledge of key issues within the organization and between the organization and outside entities, including researching information on web sites, social media, and/or publications, to perform such tasks as examining reports or documents for items of interest to the organization and maintaining files. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in order to perform tasks assigned and troubleshoot information technology issues.

Language: Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English and Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing in Urdu is required. English language skills may be tested.

Skills And Abilities: Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to anticipate potential problems and proactively come up with solutions. Ability to provide direction to subordinate and superiors. Must be able to learn new software and databases as necessary. Strong organizational, analytical and planning abilities. Ability to network with Host Country nationals to ensure Consulate requirements are met. Must have a valid host country driver's license (Motor Car/Jeep). The applicants must show the proof that they have a driver's license for a minimum of five years. Skills and abilities may be tested.
