Purpose of the Position: The HRDO will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting trainings, orientations, and capacity-building activities for project staff, Village Councils, community structures, and other stakeholders under the project.

Key Responsibilities

The HRDO shall perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:

  1. Identify training and capacity-building needs of project staff and stakeholders in coordination with project management.
  2. Develop training plans, schedules, manuals, presentations, and learning materials.
  3. Conduct trainings, orientations, workshops, and awareness sessions for staff and community stakeholders.
  4. Support capacity building of Village Councils, sub-committees, community groups, and field teams.
  5. Facilitate sessions related to organizational development, teamwork, communication, reporting, compliance, and project procedures.
  6. Maintain training records, attendance sheets, evaluation forms, and training reports.
  7. Assess effectiveness of trainings through feedback and post-training evaluations.
  8. Coordinate logistical arrangements for training events and workshops.
  9. Support field teams in strengthening institutional and operational capacities at community level.
  10. Ensure inclusion and participation of women and vulnerable groups in training activities where applicable.
  11. Coordinate with project management regarding capacity-building priorities and schedules.
  12. Prepare periodic training and capacity-building progress reports.
  13. Support documentation of lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
  14. Perform any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  1. Master degree (16 years of education) in Human Resource Management, Education, Management Sciences, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  2. Relevant experience in training, facilitation, capacity building, or organizational development, preferably in development sector projects will be an added advantage
  3. Experience in conducting community-based trainings, workshops, and staff orientations will be preferred.
  4. Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  6. Familiarity with local governance, community development, and institutional strengthening programs will be an advantage.
  7. Preference will be given to local domicile holders of project targeted districts.
