Purpose of the Position: The HRDO will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting trainings, orientations, and capacity-building activities for project staff, Village Councils, community structures, and other stakeholders under the project.
Key Responsibilities
The HRDO shall perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:
- Identify training and capacity-building needs of project staff and stakeholders in coordination with project management.
- Develop training plans, schedules, manuals, presentations, and learning materials.
- Conduct trainings, orientations, workshops, and awareness sessions for staff and community stakeholders.
- Support capacity building of Village Councils, sub-committees, community groups, and field teams.
- Facilitate sessions related to organizational development, teamwork, communication, reporting, compliance, and project procedures.
- Maintain training records, attendance sheets, evaluation forms, and training reports.
- Assess effectiveness of trainings through feedback and post-training evaluations.
- Coordinate logistical arrangements for training events and workshops.
- Support field teams in strengthening institutional and operational capacities at community level.
- Ensure inclusion and participation of women and vulnerable groups in training activities where applicable.
- Coordinate with project management regarding capacity-building priorities and schedules.
- Prepare periodic training and capacity-building progress reports.
- Support documentation of lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
- Perform any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master degree (16 years of education) in Human Resource Management, Education, Management Sciences, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in training, facilitation, capacity building, or organizational development, preferably in development sector projects will be an added advantage
- Experience in conducting community-based trainings, workshops, and staff orientations will be preferred.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with local governance, community development, and institutional strengthening programs will be an advantage.
- Preference will be given to local domicile holders of project targeted districts.
