Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead Data Validation Activities:
- Conduct periodic, in-depth data validation exercises, including on-site visits and virtual checks, to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee and guide data validation officers in the execution of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual data validation processes for all assigned SRs.
- Review both electronic (MIS/DHIS II tracker) and hard copy data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Data Compilation and Consolidation:
- Supervise the compilation and consolidation of data from respective SRs across various program areas.
- Ensure that data from multiple sources is accurately reconciled and integrated for reporting and analysis.
- Capacity Building and Support:
- Build capacity of DFSs, district teams, and data validation officers on data quality, reporting, and best practices.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to junior data validation staff, fostering their professional development.
- Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Oversee the reconciliation of data between MIS, DHIS2, and hard copy records with monthly reports.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across all reporting platforms.
- Tool and Dashboard Development:
- Collaborate with the data team in designing and developing tools for data recording, reporting, and analysis.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of dashboards, reports, and presentations using Excel, Power BI, MIS, DHIS2, and PowerPoint.
- Data Quality Audits and Feedback:
- Lead data quality audits of SRs, providing constructive feedback and recommendations based on validation findings.
- Offer training and support to SRs to improve data quality and reporting practices.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Contribute to the preparation of SRs’ data reporting, ensuring that they effectively communicate findings, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Provide inputs for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement in data management processes.
- Collaboration and Issue Resolution:
- Work closely with the Senior Coordinator Data Management to ensure overall data accuracy and timely communication of issues.
- Support SRs and other stakeholders in addressing and resolving data-related issues.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Take on any other tasks assigned by the supervisor and manager, contributing to the overall success of the data management team.
