Location: District Bannu but frequent visits to the field areas in North Waziristan.
Reports To: Communications Officer Head office
Job Purpose
The Audio Visual Officer will be responsible for planning, producing, and managing high-quality photo, video and audio content to support organizational communication, documentation, visibility and donor reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audio-Visual Production
- Capture high-quality photos, videos and audio recordings for the projects, events, field activities and success stories.
- Produce short documentaries, promotional videos, reels and content for social media.
- Ensure proper framing, lighting, sound quality, and storytelling standards.
2. Editing & Post-Production
- Edit videos and audio using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, CapCut pro, etc ).
- Sound mixing, subtitles and basic motion graphics.
- Maintain consistency with organizational branding and donor visibility guidelines.
3. Field Documentation (North Waziristan)
- Conduct field visits to document project progress, beneficiary stories and impact.
- Coordinate with project teams to plan shoots and storyboards.
- Ensure ethical media practices, including informed consent and safeguarding standards.
4. Equipment Management
- Operate and maintain audio-visual equipment (cameras, drones, microphones, lights, etc.).
- Ensure safe handling, storage and timely maintenance of equipment.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with Communications, M&E and Project teams to meet documentation needs.
- Maintain an organized digital archive of photos, videos and audio files.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Media Studies, Film Production, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in audio-visual production.
- Proven experience working in field-based or development-sector projects (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong photography and videography skills.
- Writing skills.
- Proficiency in video and audio editing software.
- Basic knowledge of storytelling, scripting and storyboard development.
- Ability to work independently in field conditions and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to remote project areas.
- Familiarity with ethical media practices and consent protocols.
