Position Summary

The Marketing Strategy Associate will lead data-driven marketing planning and performance analysis to strengthen ACT International’s brand positioning, visibility, and fundraising outcomes. The role focuses on market research, campaign analysis, audience segmentation, and strategic insights to inform communication, donor engagement, and outreach strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Support the development and periodic review of ACT International’s marketing and communications strategy.
  • Conduct market and stakeholder analysis to identify growth opportunities, donor trends, and audience insights.
  • Translate organizational objectives into actionable marketing strategies and campaign plans.

2. Data Analysis & Performance Measurement

  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance across digital and offline channels.
  • Develop dashboards and analytical reports on reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI (where applicable).
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to improve campaign effectiveness.

3. Audience & Donor Segmentation

  • Analyze donor, supporter, and stakeholder data to inform segmentation and targeting strategies.
  • Support tailored messaging approaches for institutional donors, private donors, partners, and the public.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen donor retention, acquisition, and engagement.

4. Digital Marketing & Optimization

  • Support optimization of digital channels, including website, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
  • Analyze SEO, website traffic, and user behavior data to inform content and UX improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Associate and communications team to align content with strategic insights.

5. Research, Trends & Knowledge Management

  • Monitor marketing, fundraising, and NGO communication trends at national and international levels.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies against peer NGOs and INGOs.
  • Maintain documentation of lessons learned and best practices to inform future strategies.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with programmes, fundraising, donor liaison, and senior management to align marketing strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Support proposal positioning, organizational profiles, and donor engagement strategies with evidence-based inputs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Communications, Economics, or a related field
    (Bachelor’s with strong analytical experience may be considered).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in marketing analysis, strategy development, or research roles.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in the NGO/INGO or development sector is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Google Analytics, CRM systems).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
