A humanitarian organization, under its donor-funded project aims to provide agriculture assistance to the flood affected communities of District Buner, KP, is seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates.

Qualification: Master in agriculture/ Social Sciences with 10 years’ experience in agriculture-based project management

Experience:

Lead overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the agriculture project in accordance with project objectives and donor requirements. 

  • Develop detailed work plans, implementation strategies, budgets, and project timelines. 

  • Supervise agriculture, community mobilization, engineering, and field teams to ensure effective project delivery. 

  • Coordinate with government departments, district administration, agriculture extension services, NGOs/INGOs, and other relevant stakeholders. 

  • Oversee interventions related to crop production, irrigation, agricultural inputs, farm machinery, livestock integration, and climate-smart agriculture as applicable. 

  • Ensure timely procurement and distribution of seeds, fertilizers, tools, machinery, and other agricultural inputs. 

  • Lead farmer/community mobilization, capacity building, demonstrations, and technical training activities. 

  • Ensure quality implementation and compliance with donor standards, organizational policies, and technical guidelines. 

  • Monitor project progress against indicators, targets, budget, and implementation plans, and take corrective measures when required. 

  • Conduct regular field visits to assess activities, identify challenges, and ensure appropriate technical solutions. 

  • Prepare donor reports, progress updates, success stories, budgets, and other project documentation. 

  • Manage project budget and ensure effective utilization of financial and material resources. 

  • Identify project risks, including climate, security, market, and operational risks, and develop appropriate mitigation measures. 

  • Promote climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices and support farmers in improving productivity and livelihoods. 

  • Establish linkages with agricultural markets, private-sector actors, cooperatives, and value-chain stakeholders. 

  • Ensure accountability, gender and social inclusion, community participation, and protection principles are integrated throughout project implementation. 

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project staff and ensure effective teamwork and performance. 

  • Represent the organization in relevant coordination meetings, technical forums, and government/donor engagements. 

  • Document lessons learned, best practices, project achievements, and recommendations for future programming.
